Transferring your Hosting to FLPV.COM/Pete's WebWorks

Transferring your hosting account to our servers couldn't be much easier.

We need some basic information from you such as;

The name of your current registrar.

Your user name.

Your password for the account.

We also need you to assign us as "Technical Contact".

This is so we can initiate the registration transfer, which you will have to approve via E-Mail through your registrar. Once this is completed, we can go to the next step.

Next, we need FTP access to your current website. With the access, we do a complete download of your website and upload it to our server.

For a short period of time (24 to 72 hours), while the registration propagates throughout the various DNS servers, visitors to your website may actually be directed to either of your locations. This is usually stabilized within three days.

Finally, you close your previous hosting account.

All of your links should work properly after the transfer, but you should check and correct them at the earliest possible opportunity.

You should perform a backup of all databases, as some web functions such as guest books, calendars, online stores, and photo albums using MYSQL databases will probably need to be reworked or at the least assigned new databases on your new server.

Contact pages will need to be reconstructed using the one available through your "Control Panel".

Note: If you cancel your hosting with FLPV.COM/Pete's Webworks within 30 (thirty) days, we will issue a pro-rated refund all of your fees except $10.95 USD for the domain registration. You will be billed annually for renewing your domain until such time as you transfer your domain name to another registrar.
